Here’s one more reason to love Silpada: our Sterling Silver Jewelry is nickel-free! Nickel, a silver-white metal, is found in nature and is often mixed with other metals to create an alloy. It is used in costume jewelry (aka not Silpada Jewelry!), earring posts, watchbands, eyeglass frames, buttons, zippers, snaps, hairpins and many other items you might have contact with on a daily basis. When you wear nickel, it can potentially cause an allergic reaction, resulting in an itchy rash (eek!). That’s why we prefer to stick with using only .925 Sterling Silver in our designs. So you can rest assured fashionistas, that when you wear Silpada Jewelry, your skin will thank you!

The metals used in alloy with silver can be different than nickel. The rest from 92.5% to 100% is what, in Silpada’s jewelry?

Hi Mima!
Thanks for your comment! The silver in Silpada Jewelry is .925 Sterling Silver, which means it is 92.5% silver. The remaining metals are copper and zinc, which are used to strengthen the Sterling Silver. Silpada engages certified independent third-party facilities to verify the contents of all our jewelry, including that our silver is .925 Sterling Silver.
I hope that answers your question. Have a Silpada-ish day!
